Welcome message from Pam Parkes

I am delighted you are considering the role of Assistant Director, Service Transformation here at Essex County Council.

We are fundamentally changing the way we re-imagine, shape and deliver services to our thriving County. The potential is enormous: reduced costs, increased efficiencies, better use of data and most importantly improved outcomes and better lives for the people we serve.

As Director of Organisation, Development and People I recognise the impact that service transformation will have internally as well as externally. This post will play a key role in the success of our digital/service strategy, introducing new behaviours and nurturing an agile culture through solid leadership, support and encouragement of innovation.

Our ambition is to listen and understand the customers needs so we provide services that are fair and easy to access; that we work in an open and transparent way and we encourage collaboration across the Council and with our partners introducing and maximizing the use of technologies.

I'm looking to work with a bold, fearless and passionate leader that has real hands-on experience of driving through significant service led change; a leader that inspires and enables others, whilst delivering through innovation and effective collaboration. Could this be you?
