As Deputy Director of Transformation Delivery and Assurance, you will drive strategic vision, innovation, and transformation to help CCS achieve its ambitious goals in digital excellence and public sector value.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Director of Transformation and Assurance to lead our efforts in enhancing transformation delivery practices across the Digital Directorate and the wider enterprise. This pivotal role will play a crucial part in driving strategic change initiatives by developing and implementing best-in-class delivery methodologies and effectively allocating resources to optimise project outcomes.
You will be leading the transformation delivery and assurance function within CCS, which is part of the wider Digital Directorate (of circa 90 permanent team members) which plays a critical role in the designing the digital platforms that Government and Public Sector commercial customers and suppliers will use to achieve best value for the UK taxpayer and Government service users.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing leadership, guidance, and supporting multidisciplinary and technically expert teams, ensuring alignment with the overall vision and mission of the organisation.
- Leading and managing the implementation of strategic transformation programs and projects, enhancing service delivery and operational performance across CCS.
- Ensuring senior responsible officers focus on achieving business outcomes and execute their duties effectively.
- Planning and delivering major change initiatives with a focus on value, adaptability, and service user needs.
- Developing and implementing engagement and communication strategies for internal and external stakeholders, including senior government officials and industry leaders.
- Establishing robust frameworks for program governance and change management, ensuring transparency, accountability, and stakeholder alignment.
- Analysing data and performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of transformation initiatives and make informed recommendations for improvement.
- Preparing and presenting strategic reports and briefings to senior executives and government officials on progress and outcomes of initiatives.
- Creating and implementing a delivery capability framework, introducing tools, processes, and standards to ensure high-quality delivery of change projects.
- Fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration, empowering team members to contribute ideas and solutions.
- Managing budgets and resources for transformation projects, ensuring timely, scoped delivery in compliance with regulations.
- Leading procurement and vendor management for digital services, ensuring value for money and strong supplier relationships.
- Identifying and mitigating risks related to change initiatives, ensuring compliance with government policies and frameworks.
