Head of Data & AI Literacy

Contract - 3 months

Hybrid - London, Glasgow or Cardiff

£700 - £800 per day (inside IR35)

We are looking for a Head of Data & AI Literacy to play a pivotal role in fostering a deep understanding of data and artificial intelligence across our customers organisation. This role extends beyond technical innovation; it encompasses empowering teams with the knowledge and skills needed to harness data effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enabling AI Adoption: Accelerate the safe adoption of AI capabilities and features. This includes existing products such as CoPilot, and developing the organisation's own Machine Learning and AI models using the business data from the Data Science Team.
• Understanding Evolving Needs: This business-facing role will require close working with staff across the organisation to understand their evolving needs. your goal is to find the right solutions and capabilities that align with these needs.
• Guidelines and Training: Lead the production of training materials and guidelines for safe and appropriate AI and data usage by staff.
• Strategic Roadmap: Collaborate with CDAIO and other senior leaders to set a roadmap for transformation initiatives related to AI and data improvement. The roadmap will guide the AI and data journey, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Delivery and Implementation: Work alongside the Snr Data Business Partner and technical applications teams, you will drive the AI and data capabilities. The role bridges the gap between strategy and execution.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Understanding of data literacy, data science and artificial intelligence. Must be able to explain these topics to a non-technical audience.
• Experience of working in a complex environment, acting as an internal expert, and advising leaders on strategic needs.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proven record in project and portfolio delivery.
• Extensive experience working collaboratively with diverse colleagues.
• Desirable - Experience creating data and AI literacy programmes within formal education and as part of lifelong learning initiatives.
